
Tim has lived in Orange County for more than 30 years.

In his off hours, Tim enjoys watching college and professional sports with friends and playing softball on the city of Irvine coed softball team, the Misprnts, founded by former Irvine World News editor Don Dennis. In addition, the Pacific Coast League named the baseball championship trophy in his honor. Tim was honored in 2016 by the City of Irvine when he was named to the Wall of Recognition. He later got his bachelor's degree in journalism from Long Beach State.

He found his passion of journalism in high school at Long Beach Wilson on the school newspaper, the Loudspeaker. Tim's job includes reporting on sports in Irvine and Tustin and other communities for the Orange County Register and OC Varsity. Since then, he has covered some of the most exciting high school sports events in Orange County. Tim Burt is a freelance reporter who first joined the Irvine World News in May of 1984 covering high school and youth sports in the city of Irvine.

Lucky Strike even has a dress code in keeping with its upscale ambiance.ĭid you know: Lucky Strike has been featured on a number of television shows throughout the years, including “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and “The OC.” Lucky Strike has become so popular that in the past, it sometimes requires reservations days or weeks in advance. There are also private VIP rooms which are available for party-goers, according to Thomsen. After 9 p.m., Lucky Strike is open to those 21 and older, so players can have fun without having to deal with younger kids. There are also DJs on Friday and Saturday nights. Each day of the week, there are special events at Lucky Strike, including Lucky Hour Monday through Friday which feature food and drink specials. There are now 20 locations around the country. Lucky Strike’s first location opened in 2003 in Hollywood, helping to usher in the bowling lounge trend.

The bowling alley is known for its fancy decor, state-of-the-art bowling lanes, plush lounges and full gourmet bar and menu, but also its full entertainment concept.

If you’re not into bowling, there are plenty of other activities at Lucky Strike, according to Brandon Thomsen, the marketing manager.

There are big-screen televisions so sports fans can follow their favorite teams in-between games. Lucky Strike has 24 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, some designated for private bowling.
